Seminar Hit Piece
People from all over the state have called our office
requesting that Abdulaziz, Grossbart & Rudman come to their area and give our
“Collecting Your Money Through the Use of Mechanic's Liens, Stop Notices and
Bonds” as well as our “Analysis of Killer Subcontract Clauses” seminars.
Both seminars will be given by an acknowledged expert in the field of stop
notice, bond rights, and mechanic's lien rights as well as construction law in
general. Our firm has been representing contractors at the California Law
Revision Commission and the Legislature.
The “Collecting Your Money Through the Use of Mechanic’s Liens, Stop Notices and
Bonds” seminar will teach where we are at, where we possibly may be going, and
an update on the Legislature’s recommendations with respect to the Mechanic’s
Lien process. A nuts and bolts presentation of how to handle stop notices,
bonds, and liens will be given and handouts will be provided. The seminar is
designed for both the contractor and clerical personnel involved in stop notice,
mechanic's liens, preliminary notices, etc.
The “Analysis of Killer Subcontract Clauses” seminar is intended to discuss most
of the more onerous subcontract clauses. It will give an insight to the clauses,
address the worst of them, and discuss some alternative language that might be
used. It is a nuts and bolts discussion of various form subcontracts and
individual subcontract clauses. The written agreements between owners,
contractors, and subcontractors, which provides the legal relationship between
the parties, are discussed as well as the risks that may be taken.
Abdulaziz, Grossbart & Rudman has garnered a reputation as one of the nation’s
leading lecturers and writers in the field of construction law. Sam is a widely
published columnist and the author of two books on California construction law.
Members of our firm are in constant demand as an arbitrators, consultants,
experts, mediators, and guest speakers dealing with construction related
matters.
